Map Data

This is a slightly revamped version of something I created for my family and myself when planning a weekend trip. I created spreadsheets for a couple different types of destinations, including business names and addresses sourced via Google searches and a travel guide, and imported each file into Google My Maps as a separate layer. I then customized the base map type and icons for each business. This is an example of how I often utilize data—even something as simple as plotting addresses on a personal map of a city I plan to visit—in my everyday life. This particular project made it easier for my family to visualize locations of businesses within the city and the distances between them.
